Objective
This policy explains how Masego helps you choose mutual fund schemes objectively, so that fund selection stays transparent and aligned with your goals, never with commission.
Selection process
- Consistency of long-term performance against benchmark and peers
- Risk-adjusted returns and volatility
- Fund-house process and stability of the fund management team
- Expense ratio and portfolio quality
- Suitability to your stated goal and time horizon
Exclusion criteria
- Schemes with poor or inconsistent long-term track records
- Excessively concentrated or high-risk portfolios unsuited to the goal
- Funds with weak governance or frequent changes in mandate
Data sources
- AMC factsheets and scheme information documents
- AMFI and RTA (CAMS/KFintech) data
- Independent research and rating databases
Suitability mapping
Scheme choices are mapped to your goals, time horizon and comfort with risk, understood through our clarity conversations and the Masego 45-Day Financial Independence Roadmap.
Conflict of interest declaration
Fund selection is based solely on objective criteria and your suitability. It is never influenced by the commission payable by any AMC.
